Nissan launches diesel-powered Micra variant at Rs 5.57 lakh
New Delhi: Nissan India today launched a new diesel-powered Micra XE variant priced at Rs 5.57 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). With this new diesel entry variant, Nissan has taken the number of Micra variants to 12 in India. Sales of the new diesel-powered Micra entry level variant will commence from September 4, the company said in a statement. The new Micra XE will be available in six colours.
Kenichiro Yomura, Nissan Motor India MD & CEO and Nissan India Operations President, said: "The launch of new Micra range in July received an overwhelming response from our customers. We are keen to replicate the success of the existing variants with the diesel-powered XE variant of the new Micra." Hover Automotive India Director - Sales & Marketing - Nitish Tipnis said, "The launch of the new variant in the Micra family further signifies Nissan's commitment towards the Indian market. The XE variant in diesel will further augment the volumes for this model due to its aggressive entry level price point." Hover Automotive India is Nissan's national sales company. "To ensure good sales and after-sales service across the nation, we are increasing our dealer networks at a rapid pace," Tipnis said in a statement without giving further details.
The new XE trim comes in six colours – Olive green, Turquoise blue, Blade silver, Storm white, Onyx black and Brick red. The Nissan Micra comes with a standard warranty of 2 years/50,000km.

- XL: Rs 4.79 lakh
- XL (O): Rs 5.42 lakh
- XV (CVT): Rs 6.39 lakh
Diesel:
- XE: Rs 5.57 lakh NEW
- XL: Rs 5.99 lakh
- XL (O): Rs 6.89 lakh
- XV (P): Rs 7.14 lakh
